Game and editor systems
The in-game editor, object interaction, Rumi movement, collection systems, and the UI tying those parts together.
Summary
Senior Game Developer
I've always wanted to make video games, and I've been interested in every part of how they're made. Learning across those disciplines has given me a broad range of skills, though programming remains my main focus. On my own projects I also handle design, art, animation, UI, and the work involved in bringing a game to a store.
Current project
MiDiO is a room-building and creature-collecting game. Players create small 3D dioramas, populate them with Rumi, and share their rooms through Steam Workshop. Twitch and Firebase integration let viewers participate in its collection systems without owning the game.
MiDiO is available to buy and play on Steam in Early Access. I develop it solo, covering the game, editor, UI, integrations, art and content, and ongoing production.
MiDiO on SteamAvailable in Early Access
The in-game editor, object interaction, Rumi movement, collection systems, and the UI tying those parts together.
Persistent rooms, scene reconstruction, player images, previews, imported content, and Steam Workshop sharing.
Steam features, Twitch integration, backend services, local file handling, and the UI built around them.
Technical art, 3D and 2D content, presentation, trailers, storefront material, packaging, updates, and maintenance.

Side project
EUC is a chaotic online co-op game for 2-4+ players, with PS2-style graphics. It is a game I'm actively developing and a side project for learning, expanding my portfolio, and exploring new ideas.
I'm responsible for Idea, Programming, Design, Art, Animation, UI, and Tools, with the exception of a few third-party assets/packs.

Steam sessions, replicated gameplay, server-side state, and shared player interaction.
Cooperative gameplay, player interaction, progression, and shared game state.
Menus, lobby, HUD, results, and the flow between each part of a session.
PS2-style art direction, environments, and reusable construction tools.
Professional experience
At 2tainment, I worked across gameplay, simulation, UI, databases, and tools in an established football-management codebase. My work included developing features, maintaining existing systems, and supporting releases.

Unity · Character Art and integration · UI Implementation
I created, animated, and integrated six playable character sets for this Unity strategy game, and also worked on its presentation.

UE5 - Blueprint / C++ · Solo Developer
A virtual-pet project built around a persistent lifecycle. I developed its care, progression, delivery, and save systems, including changes that continue between play sessions.
Also developed under the working name Project Cells.
Self-contained games built over a few days to a little over a week, in the spirit of a small game jam.

Yoon (Unity) - Made in a little over a week. A small game about a streamer trying to make it big, earning money for a better PC, with a gacha system and WarioWare-style minigames.

Miploons (Unity) - A Bloons TD-inspired clone made over a few days, with Twitch integration that lets viewers trigger enemy waves and boss encounters.
Additional disciplines

2D and 3D character work, sculpting, textures, rigs, animation, and engine integration.

Materials, shaders, visual effects, and tools in Unreal Engine and Unity, including workflows for building environments and working with game assets.

Game modding for R.E.P.O., Hogwarts Legacy, FFXIV, and VRChat, alongside 2D and 3D VTuber creation, rigging, and facial tracking. (ARKit)
About
I'm Armin Grbić, also known as Schira / SchiraDev, a game developer based in Berlin. I have spent more than ten years making games, including around six professionally, across solo projects, collaborative games, and commercial production.
Programming is my main discipline, with hands-on experience across design, art, and production. Most of my projects are maintained in private Git repositories. I can discuss their implementation and share code examples where I have permission.
